Join AWS Finance as a Senior Financial Analyst and shape the
financial strategy of one of the world's fastest-growing cloud
businesses. You'll provide analytical insights that directly
influence how AWS invests in marketing initiatives like re:Invent,
AWS Summits, and global field programs—helping drive decisions that
impact millions of customers worldwide. Key job responsibilities •
Own financial planning and forecasting for Worldwide AWS Marketing,
including operating expenses, headcount costs, program spending,
travel, and capital expenditures • Create insightful financial
reports that explain monthly and quarterly expense variances,
helping leaders understand what's driving differences between
actual and planned performance • Drive the month-end close process
across the AWS Marketing Finance organization, ensuring timely and
accurate financial reporting • Generate and communicate financial
insights using financial systems and analytical tools to support
data-driven decision-making • Standardize and improve reporting
processes by identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining
workflows, and enhancing efficiency across the team A day in the
life As a Senior Financial Analyst supporting AWS Marketing
Finance, you'll analyze financial data to drive strategic
decisions. Your work includes examining expense variances,
collaborating with marketing leaders on budgets, and streamlining
reporting through automation. You'll manage monthly close
activities across financial systems and translate complex data into
clear narratives for stakeholders. You'll also leverage generative
AI tools to automate routine tasks and uncover patterns in large
datasets, enhancing efficiency and insight discovery. About the
team We are the AWS Marketing Finance team, supporting Worldwide
AWS Marketing as it drives global cloud adoption and innovation. We
partner with marketing leaders overseeing major initiatives,
product strategy, analyst relations, and field operations. Our
focus is providing financial clarity and analytical rigor that
enables confident resource investment decisions for maximum impact.

tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 3 years of
creating process improvements with automation and analysis
experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business,
economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math,
computer science) - Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level,
including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data
modification, etc. - Knowledge of accounting principles, processes,
and entries - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of Tableau - Experience
working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples:
SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems
(examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - 3 years of applying
key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers
