Description: We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist
to join our R&D team dedicated to advancing DNA synthesis
technologies. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation
in nucleic acid chemistry, oligonucleotide synthesis, and molecular
biology. You will play a critical role in optimizing our
solid-phase DNA synthesis platform and developing next-generation
applications. Your expertise in surface chemistry, analytical
techniques, and molecular biology will be integral to shaping the
future of DNA synthesis technology. Key Responsibilities: Design
and optimize surface functionalization techniques for solid-phase
oligonucleotide synthesis. Develop next-generation solid-phase DNA
synthesis platforms and explore their applications. Create novel
electrochemical detection assays for oligonucleotide microarrays.
Characterize complex DNA oligo pools using advanced analytical
methods. Select and implement techniques to evaluate surface
properties and functionality. Contribute to nucleic acid chemistry
innovations, including phosphoramidite-based and enzymatic
oligonucleotide synthesis. Optimize all aspects of the company’s
DNA synthesis workflows. Collaborate with production teams to
transfer technology, improve processes, and troubleshoot
challenges. Perform statistical data analysis and effectively
present findings to stakeholders. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Organic
Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related field; or
M.S. with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
Expertise in nucleoside, nucleotide, and solid-phase
oligonucleotide synthesis. Strong foundation in organic chemistry
and photochemistry. In-depth understanding of nucleic acid
chemistry and phosphoramidite-based synthesis. Hands-on experience
with total synthesis, including a variety of purification
techniques such as column chromatography, HPLC, and Biotage
systems. Demonstrated proficiency in handling sensitive or delicate
materials (preferred). Experience with electrochemical methods and
detection technologies (preferred). Familiarity with laboratory
automation tools and platforms (a plus). Advanced molecular biology
skills, including PCR, qPCR, hybridization assays, and
next-generation sequencing (NGS). Proven track record of effective
collaboration within interdisciplinary and cross-functional teams.
Results-driven, with a proactive, hands-on approach to experimental
design and problem-solving. Excellent written and verbal
communication skills. Strong documentation skills for drafting
technical reports, summarizing experimental data, and supporting
technology transfer to manufacturing. Highly self-motivated and
passionate about driving innovation in the field of biotechnology.

Salary range: $80,000 – $110,000, depending on experience and
