Charlie's was founded in quality, and we are proud that it is still our focus.With a team of dedicated people who are passionate about food, supply chain, and their community we are looking for like minded individuals to help further our goal to enhance our communities through quality produce.--What we offer:An amazing company culture!Medical/Dental/Vision on the first of the month following hire.ESOP (Profit Sharing) and 401(k).Paid vacations, paid holidays.Pre-tax commuter benefits, and onsite parking.Coverage under State Sick Leave.100% Prepaid College Tuition for employees and their dependents.Employee assistance program (EAP).Additional Compensation Details:80k-90k annually dependent on experience and location of rolePotential 90-day performance-based raiseYearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure.ResponsibilitiesThe RoleJob Summary:-- Our transportation supervisors and support team are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of our department.-- Providing leadership and direction to drivers is the essential job function to ensure our success each day.-- To uphold company safety standards, compliance, and standards of conduct while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced team environment.-- Communication and an acute attention to detail are required strengths for this position. --The Support Team is an essential first step to a transportation supervisor role.Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited ToHelp plan manpower needs and schedule drivers and support personnel.Manage daily driver adjustments and reschedule for absent/sick drivers.Schedule new-hires and oversee training with emphasis on safety and customer service.Route tracking review through TMS reporting to ensure sequencing and flow are optimal.Daily communication with drivers to help overcome obstacles and delays.Coordinate back hauls with buyers and grower/shippers.Collaborate with Operations team to coordinate and adjust daily workflows as needed.Oversee PM hostlers to ensure trucks and trailers are on dock to meet loading schedule.Meet with drivers prior to route departure to review customer list and answer any questions.Notify teams regarding any delays or route issues so customers can be updated.Perform other related and assigned duties as necessary.QualificationsPreferred Skills and Experience--3+ years of experience in transportation supervision or lead roleWorking knowledge and understanding of DOT rules and regulationsExtensive knowledge of W. Washington roads and highways for route planning and supportCurrent CDL, valid medical card, and no disqualifying violations on MVR preferred (not required)Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
