Requisition SummaryDo you want to be a part of shaping the
future of zero emissions products for DAF, Kenworth and Peterbilt?
Do you want to be on the team to lead new technology into heavy
commercial vehicles?The Global Zero Emissions team is looking for
an energetic Senior Fuel Cell Engineering Analyst who will lead and
coordinate the early product development requirements for Hydrogen
Fuel Cell systems. The work will be coordinated in alignment to a
U.S. DOE contract (SuperTruck 3 is a U.S. Department of Energy 50%
cost share project that supports early research and development
activities.)This position will interface with PACCAR teams around
the globe and will be based in Kirkland, WA, or Denton, TX.Job
Functions / Responsibilities
* Define Requirements and System Architecture for Fuel Cell EV
development
* Perform data acquisition and analysis of application data, to
determine or assess component commonality with BEV systems
* Determine optimal location(s) for truck hydrogen fueling to
support system freight analysis impact of virtual FCEV and
infrastructure deployment
* Lead the definition of Technical Requirements Specification (TRS)
for Fuel Cell systems
* Support Engineering research and coordination efforts associated
with the Global Zero Emissions product developments
* Coordinate work with a matrixed engineering activity across
multiple divisions and remote locations
* Support activity status reports and other detailed reporting as
directed
* Willingness, flexibility, and initiative to respond to shifting
time and project demands
* Domestic and International travel Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or
related engineering field
* Five or more years of design engineering experience, including
System Engineering focus
* Ability to identify, prioritize, influence and coordinate work
activities across multiple PACCAR companies, groups, business
cultures and outside entities simultaneously
* Knowledge of vehicle end user applications and requirements
* Experience coordinating with and/or directing supplier
activities
* Experience working in a matrixed organization
* Ability to summarize technical issues and communicate
effectively
* Ability to lead projects with significant ambiguity and generate
results
* Self-directed, excellent analysis and technical judgment with
demonstrated high levels of initiative and innovation.
Desired Qualifications:
* Experience with Product Creation Process / Tollgate System
* Experience with commercial vehicle powertrains
* Commercial Driver's License (Class A)
* Professional Engineering License
* Master's degree
* Experience presenting to large, diverse audiences including
