Position:Automation Evangelist
Job Description:Arrow is seeking a passionate, experienced, and
highly skilled Automation Evangelist with a focus on Technology
Business Management Solutions (including FinOps, IT Financial
Management, and Observability), and IT Automation.This person will
lead our organizations efforts to advocate for and implement IBM
Automation technologies via our channel partner community. The
ideal candidate will drive interest and adoption of automation
solutions, educate stakeholders on the client business problems
that these solutions address, enable channel partners to have
higher value solution conversations with their clients, and drive
opportunity identification through webinars and workshops. This
role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking,
solution design, and exceptional communication & presentation
skills to engage with all levels of partner and client contacts
with the IBM Automation platform and technology.As an Automation
Sales Engineer, you will need to be well versed in financial
selling, deal progression and solution demonstrations. You will
also need project management skills for complex projects,
collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and contribute to
the advancement of automation concepts.What Youll Be Doing
- Advocate for Automation: Champion the use of automation
technologies (e.g., FinOps, IT Financial Management, and
Observability) across the organization, fostering a culture of
innovation and continuous improvement. Identify the synergy between
automation applications/concepts and hardware/software products
that exist in a clients infrastructure environment.
- Develop Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive automation
strategies that align with organizational goals and drive
operational efficiency. Create offerings and sales plays for
automation/modernization planning and go-to-market.
- Educate & Train: Design and deliver engaging training programs,
workshops, and presentations to educate stakeholders on the
benefits, implementation, and management of automation solutions.
Research proficiencies and advise clients how to improve their
skills.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with business units, IT
teams, and other stakeholders to identify automation opportunities,
address concerns, and ensure successful implementation.
- Project Management: Oversee the deployment of automation
projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet
deadlines, budgets, and performance metrics. Suggest features to be
added to the demonstration environment.
- Monitor & Evaluate: Track the performance of implemented
automation solutions, gather feedback, and make recommendations for
continuous improvement.
- Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging
technologies, and best practices to keep the organization at the
forefront of automation advancements. Produce impactful,
thought-leadership content, including blogs, articles, webinars,
white papers, best practices, point of views, and presentations to
educate, inspire and articulate the art of possible, while
effectively positioning Arrow as a channel leader.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation,
including process maps, technical specifications, and user
guides.
- Community Building: Establish and nurture a community of
Automation enthusiasts and practitioners. Organize and participate
in meetups, conferences, webinars, panels and other events to
connect and grow the Automation community.What We Are Looking For
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering,
Business, or related experience. Advanced degrees or relevant
certifications (e.g., CAP, RPA Developer Certification) are a
plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in automation,
process improvement, or a related field, with a proven track record
of successful automation projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with automation tools and
platforms (e.g., UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere) and a
solid understanding of programming languages relevant to automation
(e.g., Python, JavaScript). Hold industry certifications that
include Automation principles.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication
skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to
non-technical audiences. Identify and communicate Solution
Opportunity Identification to the sales teams and lead discussions
to progress the opportunity.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, including
experience with project planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving
skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable
insights.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with
cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with
stakeholders.
- Ability to leverage social media
- Change Management: Experience in managing change and driving
adoption of new technologies within an organization.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry-specific
challenges and how automation can address them.
- Innovation: A proactive approach to identifying and
implementing innovative solutions to enhance business
processes.
- Presentation Skill: Ability to present to senior leaders at
partner firms, grab their attention, and compel them to want to
learn more.
- Experience with Automation solutions: Apptio Cloudability,
Turbonomic, Instanta, Maximo, Hashi, Cloud Health, UiPath, Blue

$250,647.89Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from
posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work
experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between

Remote work employees may be required to be present at the closest
