Fairfax Behavioral Health (a UHS facility): Fairfax Behavioral
Health, founded in 1930, is a private, free-standing mental health
hospital that specializes in psychiatric and detox treatment. We

visit us at POSITION SUMMARYFairfax is looking for a Patient Access
Coordinator to join our Intake team. (1.0 FTE or 0.5 FTE available,
Nights or Evenings) Must be able to work every other weekend. The
Patient Access Coordinator (PAC) is primarily responsible for
answering and appropriately managing incoming telephone calls;
scheduling patient assessments/appointments; creating and updating
patient pre-registrations including verification of benefits and
financial counseling; setting certain expectations for patients
regarding their services, and responding to customers' information
needs. The PAC is also cross-trained and utilized as a Hospital
Services Representative (HSR), thereby assuming the
responsibilities associated with the patient discharge/check-out
function. Additionally, the PAC is responsible for performing
various administrative and clerical duties required to support
these functions and, on an as-needed basis, may be required to
perform other tasks. Wage Range:Minimum: $20.29/hourMaximum:
$26.77/hour
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
Experience: At least two years working experience in a hospital or
Dr. Office setting helpful. Strong background in customer service.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Needs to have a
general knowledge of patient accounting which includes billing and
reimbursement requirements. Computer skills and ability to interact
with all types of customers.Work hours: 11pm-7:30am (MUST BE Work
