Job Description:
specialist - data The Data Specialist maintains accurate data
entry and strict data collection and control measures. They serve
as point of contact for and work with database users to provide
training on collection practices.The Data Specialist provides
strong data skills and customer service, with elements of project
management and database administration. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt,
hourly Reports To: Data Systems Analyst essential duties Data
Collection and ReportingEnsure all client and outcome data is
properly collected, entered and available to funders, employees,
board members, and other agency stakeholders, in a timely manner,
including but not limited to monthly, quarterly, and annual service
reports.Input protected client data for further analysis and
reporting.Assist in analyzing data and preparation of outcome
measurement reports.Regularly review client data to ensure agency
is meeting goals for program service and delivery.Maintain digital
and paper forms and templates.Assure accuracy of data and
timeliness of reporting (HMIS, RHYMIS, WBARS, etc.).Maintain data
integrity by identifying and addressing/reporting issues or
concerns that could impact data reporting deadlines or goals. User
Support Coordinate data flow, policies and procedures between
program sites and administrative office.Work closely with Program
Coordinators to foster a shared understanding of data policies,
collection practices, and system functionality.Train database users
on data collection and entry methods.Serve as first point of
contact for database users seeking assistance.Perform
troubleshooting on database functions and workflow issues for
program users.Serve as agency Homeless Management Information
System (HMIS) Lead. Other DutiesPlease note this job description is

Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in computer science,
information services or related field preferred. In place of a
degree, a high school diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant
experience can be substituted. Minimum of 2 years of professional
experience working with data/databases.HMIS experience
preferred.Salesforce (or other major CRM) user management
experience.Experience working with analytics tools (i.e., Tableau,
PowerBI, Alteryx, etc.) preferred.Demonstrated working knowledge of
MS365 Power Platform. b. Additional RequirementsMust satisfactorily
pass criminal history check.Must satisfactorily pass tuberculosis
(TB) test.Must have reliable transportation and a valid Washington
State driver's license (or be able to obtain one by date of
employment). Employees and volunteers who operate their own or
Friends of Youth vehicles on Friends of Youth business, must have a
safe driving record as defined by Friends of Youth.Employees and
volunteers who operate their own vehicle(s) on Friends of Youth
business must carry auto liability insurance that complies with the
requirements of Friends of Youth. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is

detail while entering data and checking data for accuracy,
downloading information, and running reports to analyze
data.Proficient skill set with MS Office Suite programs. d.
