Job Summary: As a key member of the legal team, the Senior Attorney is responsible for the legal support of the EvergreenHealth contracting matters. The role provides legal counsel to EvergreenHealth departments, clinics, and management regarding contracting matters, regulatory compliance, other areas, and projects as assigned by the General Counsel. Primary Duties

• Management: A part of the management team with applicable responsibilities, including attendance at designated meetings and participation in committees and activities as appropriate for other similarly situated management personnel. Responsible for the daily operations and management of the Legal Department and staff.
• Professional Development: Responsible for remaining current on all applicable laws and regulations. Participates in professional development activities and maintains appropriate professional affiliations. Qualifications: License, Certification, Education or Experience: REQUIRED for the position:

• Juris Doctorate Degree
• A member of the Washington State Bar or eligible to become a member and obtain membership within one (1) year of hire.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, internal consulting skills, organizational and administrative skills, negotiating skills, and experience with group dynamics
• 5 years of relevant legal experience, generally including healthcare regulatory compliance, physician arrangements including Stark and Anti-Kickback, complex contracting, strategic partnering, or other highly complex contractual arrangements DESIRED for the position:
  • 10 years of experience in healthcare
