Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical

Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer
Science or related technical field. 10 years of experience in
software development. 3 years of experience working in a complex,
matrixed organization. Proven track record of leading teams to

expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and
locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of

Hyperdisk and Persistent Disk are Google’s virtual block storage
offerings a foundational building block for Cloud workloads, from
high-end databases to large ML workloads. The product space is
rapidly evolving with changing workload requirements that drive
fundamentally new technical and product solutions to meet scale,
cost and performance requirements. The Google Cloud AI Research
team addresses AI challenges motivated by Google Cloud’s mission of
bringing AI to tech, healthcare, finance, retail and many other
industries. We work on a range of unique problems focused on
research topics that maximize scientific and real-world impact,
aiming to push the state-of-the-art in AI and share findings with
the broader research community. We also collaborate with product
teams to bring innovations to real-world impact that benefits our
customers. The US base salary range for this full-time position is
$207,000-$300,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are
determined by role, level, and location. Within the range,
individual pay is determined by work location and additional
factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant

Responsibilities Establish technology and product vision in
collaboration with peers (Development (Dev), Site Reliability
Engineering (SRE), and Product Management (PM)) and partner teams.
Develop the team for the task through recruiting, growing leaders
and cultivating great engineering culture. Drive regular project
planning and resource allocation activities allowing the team to
meet both long and short term goals. Drive execution within and
across teams with strong focus on quality and reliability. Perform
retrospective analyses and establish processes for improving team’s
execution and performance.
