Amazon’s Selling Partner Insights and Analytics (SPIA)
organization is seeking an experienced Data Engineer (DE) who will
be a key contributor in architecting and building data platforms
that directly impact sellers experience on Amazon. If you are a

shape the future of e-commerce Key job responsibilities As a Data
Engineer in the Selling Partner (SP) Support Organization, you will
work in one of its most dynamic and challenging spaces. You will
design, implement and support scalable data infrastructure
solutions that integrate diverse data sources, aggregate and curate
data for reporting, analysis and LLM models. Working with native
AWS technologies, you will create pragmatic solutions while
maintaining appropriate complexity levels. Your role requires
excellent business and communication skills to collaborate
effectively with business owners and technical leaders. You will
gather infrastructure requirements, design data architecture, and
build data pipelines and datasets to meet business needs.
Additionally, you will be responsible for creating coherent logical
data models that drive physical design. In this role, you will
focus on designing scalable architectures for robust applications
and pipelines. You will need to make appropriate trade-offs, reuse
where possible, and be judicious about introducing dependencies.
Staying current with emerging technologies and implementing them
where appropriate will be essential for success in this role. A day
in the life A day in the life of Data Engineer is equally
interesting and challenging. The interesting part is learning about
business, ever expanding databases and codebases, internal tech
stack for builders, AWS and many more. The challenging part of a
data engineer's life is to apply these learnings in building robust
and reliable data applications. A DE will be involved in driving
both business and technical related discussions and making several
key decisions contributing to the success of Selling Partner
Operations and Business teams. About the team Selling Partner
Insights and Analytics team's (SPIA) vision is to provide data and
insights to accelerate stakeholder’s data-driven decisions. Our
mission is to make it easier and faster for our internal customers
to use analytics to shorten the path from data to insights. The
business intelligence world is experiencing a fundamental shift
from traditional reporting to predictive and prescriptive
analytics. For SPIA, this means building a foundation that can
support both current needs and future innovations. - 2 years of
data engineering experience - Experience with data modeling,
warehousing and building ETL pipelines - Experience with one or
more query language (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL,
Scala) - Experience with one or more scripting language (e.g.,
Python, KornShell) - Experience with big data technologies such as:
Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR - Experience with AWS technologies like
Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM
roles and permissions - Experience with at least one modern
language such as Java, Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented
design - Knowledge of software engineering best practices across
the development life cycle, including agile methodologies, coding
standards, code reviews, source management, build processes,
testing, and operations - Knowledge of distributed systems as it

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers
