The Role The Bluetooth SIG is looking to engage a highly self-motivated individual to join as a Software Development Engineer in Test II. You will have the opportunity to:
Contribute to the design and development of the next generation of software tools and solutions.
Improve existing software tools and solutions by developing, maintaining, and executing tests while ensuring a high-quality bar with accurate and timely results.
The Requirements Demonstrated passion for quality in solving complex software development problems
A driven problem solver with strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
Must have a self-driven tenacious investigative attitude for failures, and work to solve them.
Must be team-oriented and accountable
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in an Agile development environment with frequently changing requirements and features -set
Strong verbal and written communication skills, communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences
Demonstrated Automation coding experience with C#, Python, or Java
Demonstrated knowledge of how to develop and use SQL databases and queries
Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
Advocate for learning new tools and technologies
Experience with Microsoft development tools, bug and test case tracking, and web-based Azure DevOps (VSTS)
Experience writing and maintaining automation using test frameworks such as JUnit, xUnit or MSTest
Experience with one or more test automation tools such as Selenium, JMeter or TestCafe.
Knowledge of writing PowerShell scripts to automate set-up of test environments and execution of automated tests
The Responsibilities Uses working knowledge of the product(s), along with strong customer empathy, to contribute to feature area designs.
Provides feedback on the product design and vision in planning meetings and post-mortems
Develops test interfaces that enable integration testing across groups of components to improve reuse.
Contributes to and maintains API-level automation and CI automation pipelines.
Considers diagnosability, reliability, and maintainability in development automation, and understands when his or her code is ready to be shared and delivered.
Uses available test hooks and creates maintainable automation code, focuses on both integration and use cases
Exposes test coverage issues, and implements functional and non-functional tests that identify gaps in integration and boundaries, and broad problem areas.
Presents conclusions to Engineering peers that fully describe defects, their impact to feature areas, customer scenarios, and quality targets.
Has a sense of pride and personal accountability for the end-to-end product/service quality, completeness, and resulting user experience.
Incorporates software quality best practices into their daily tasks.
Using agile methodology, the ability to break down and estimate new feature development work that includes ensuring a high-quality bar
Consistently deliver work with stated timelines per our agile scrum environment
Helps define his or her own role in the delivery of the product(s).
Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience in an SDET role with strong knowledge of QA methodology, test strategy, and test planning
Knowledge of GitSource Control
Certified ScrumMaster
Knowledge and ability to work in multiple Azure environments.
Ability to use REST, SOAP, and JSON files.
