Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION: Build next generation home delivery and inventory platform utilizing microservices and a distributed architecture. Create highly available, at scale solutions which will provide a reliable ecosystem to Lowe's product teams supporting Lowe's Supply Chain. Translate business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs, code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions with guidance from senior colleagues as appropriate by partnering with Business Analysts to understand business needs and functional specifications. Collaborates with architects and/or software consultants to ensure functional specifications are converted into flexible, scalable, and maintainable solution designs. Develops, configures, or modifies complex integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments by designing and coding component-based applications using various programming languages. Validates and executes component integration test (CIT) scenarios to identify application errors and ensure software solutions meet functional specifications. Facilitates the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications by packaging solutions for deployment. Supports systems integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) by providing insight to testing teams to ensure the appropriate depth of test coverage. Participates and coach others in all software development life cycle phases by applying and sharing an in-depth understanding of company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job requires Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, Engineering or a related field and 7 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC). Job requires the following experience: 2 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying CI/CD DevOps methodologies; 5 years of experience in database technologies (Oracle, Cassandra, or Couchbase); 3 years of experience with messaging frameworks (Kafka, Rabbit MQ, IBM MQ, or JMS); 5 years of experience in developing REST API's and microservices using Spring Boot, documentation using Swagger; 6 years of hands on development experience in programming languages (Java 8 or higher); 2 years of experience in deployment of microservices using Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud technologies; 2 years of experience in logging (log 4j) and monitoring the API's using dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana; 4 years of experience in unit testing, integration testing, security testing; 3 years of experience in creating build scripts using maven or ant; 2 years of experience in front end technologies (one or more of the following: Angular, React, Jquery, Javascript, CSS); 5 years of experience in working with application servers (Jboss or Weblogic) and webservers (Tomcat or Ngnix); 4 years of experience in designing scalable distributed applications.
