practices and technologies. Job Summary The Human Resource
Specialist will assist with the daily functions of the Human
Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff,
administering pay, benefits, leave, enforcing company policies and
practices, preparing new hire packages, and maintaining updated
employee records. Duties/Responsibilities: Support HR Manager and
supervisors with recruiting efforts and manpower. Assist with
internal Human Resource and employee communications. Assist with
the creation and implementation or training and development plans
as it relates to human resources. Assist supervisors with
performing regular annual performance review sessions as it relates
to our field crafts people. Assist with posting requisitions,
scheduling interviews, and vetting job applicants for open
positions; collaborate with department managers to understand
skills and competencies required for openings. Process background
checks and employee eligibility verifications. Assist with new hire
orientations. Assist with Charters' employee referral program.
Perform data entry as needed to update employee information in HRIS
(i.e., Benefits portals, payroll software & ADP). Assist with
tracking employee leave. Assist with compliance efforts with
federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and
recommended best practices. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and skills: Excellent verbal and written communication
skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict
resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to
detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to
meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and
confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and
regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related
software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the
organization's HRIS and talent management systems. Education and
Experience: Degree or certificate in Human Resources, Business
Administration, or related field preferred. At least one year of
human resource experience preferred. Commitment to Safety We are
