diesel-electric hybrids.Requisition SummaryThe Human Resources
Specialist is part of a collaborative team and reports to the HR
Supervisor. Primary responsibility is to provide HR support to
employees, administer HR programs and policies, participate in
continuous improvement initiatives, and provide excellent customer
service.Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Interpret and apply a full range of relevant policies and
laws.
- Collaborate with HR leadership on projects and initiatives that
are valuable to supporting the strategic priorities of the
organization and division.
- Work with recruitment team on staffing related support
activities including pre-employment contingency
processing,compensation recommendations andintern recruitment
- Partner with managers on corrective action, salary
administration, attendance management, recognition programs,
performance management, promotions, onboarding/exit programs
- Provide first point of contact to employees and managers for
questions and concerns
- Support positive employee relations and engagement through
coordination of wellness programs and employee communications
- Perform payroll system entry and audit reports
- Support the service award recognition program
- Support leave of absence program managementincluding FMLA, STD,
PFML, Worker's Compensation and ADA
- Prepare a variety of standard and customized reports required
both internally and by regulatory agencies
- Provide coverage for front desk receptionist during breaks and
lunch hourQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, HR or related field required.
Master's degree desired
- Minimum of one year applicable HR experience
- Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, Affirmative Action Plans,
Safety and Worker's Compensation
- Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and
customer service orientation
- Ability to work with employees and managers at all levels of
the organization
- Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, ability to
work independently, prioritize and proactively meet deadlines
- Strong PC skills required, SAP and Teams desired
- Professional Human Resources Certification: PHR/SPHR,
