OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and motivated Customer Service Associate - Counter Sales support person to join our team in Kirkland, WA. The key to sustaining our competitive advantage is by investing in the development of our employees, driving innovation, and providing solutions for a better tomorrow.Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Provide a high level of customer service for prospective clients and walk-in/counter customers* Proactively recommend products and solutions to customers based on their requirements, costs, availability, and specifications in order to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability* Remain current on product developments by attending Parker training, as available* Generate new and repeat sales of Parker products by providing product and technical information in a concise manner* Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of Parker products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction* Accurately process customer transactions, such as orders, quotes or returns* Receive incoming materials and products and verify accuracy of received packages with freight records* Assemble orders and pack items for shipment in an accurate and timely manner and convey orders to shipping area* Shipping of material which includes boxing, packing, labeling, and preparation of any related Documents (can include UPS, Fed Ex, Truck, etc)* Light assembly (including hose assemblies)* Deliver products in a timely manner, pick up rejected/defective products, and record daily delivery information and obtains customer signature on delivery tickets* Assist in all Inventory Management activities as needed including Cycle Counting, Bin Programs and general Inventory Maintenance* Housekeeping and light maintenance of warehouse, shop area, dock area, and all associated equipment* Backup CSR as needed with phone calls and entry of non-counter sales/walk-in orders as needed* Maintains equipment and work area to insure neatness with a priority on safe workplace for self and co-workersQualificationsEducation and Experience:* Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED* Mechanical and mathematical aptitude required* Knowledge of the distribution industry and KFP products preferred* A valid driver's license may be requiredPreferred Skills and Abilities:* Customer service and team oriented* Strong written and verbal communication skills* Identify and escalate priority issues and manage time effectively* Maintain a stable performance under pressure and ability to handle stress* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends when necessaryPhysical Requirements:* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions* Frequently required to sit or stand for long periods of time* Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk* Ability to use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms* Capable of regularly lift and move materials up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move materials up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visionBenefits and Company OverviewOur comprehensive compensation package and benefit program includes: * Your choice of medical insurance providers and plans, Dental insurance, and Flexible spending accounts* Company matching 401(k) with a great vesting schedule* Company paid Life (family) & STD insurances, Vacation, Holiday & Sick time* 100% tax-free tuition reimbursement Kaman Distribution Group is comprised of three business units: Kaman Automation, Kaman Fluid Power, and Kaman Industrial Technologies.
