Tacoma, WA Experienced NICU RN (Travel) — 13-week night assignment
in Tacoma, WA. Level IV NICU; EPIC, BLS & NRP required. Join a

nursing opportunity is for a skilled Neonatal ICU RN to provide
care in a state-of-the-art Level IV NICU at a renowned children's
hospital. Job Details - Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,250–$2,370 -
Location: Tacoma, WA 98405 — Tacoma nursing jobs, Washington travel
nursing - Setting: Level IV NICU (70 beds, typical census ~50) -
Assignment Type: Travel Nurse (13-week assignment) - Start Date:
April 6, 2026 - End Date: July 4, 2026 - Duration: 13 weeks -
Shift: 12-hour nights (1900-0730 or 0700-1930) — Night shift
neonatal RN - Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed) - Weekend Rotation:
Every other weekend (occasional back-to-back weekends possible) -

Requirements / Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of Level III-IV
NICU or Neonatal ICU RN experience required - Active Washington
State RN license (compact license not accepted unless WA
requirements met) - Current BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation
Program) certifications required - Experience with
ventilator/respiratory support required (mechanical ventilation,
NCPAP) - Experience with tracheostomy care highly preferred -
Competence with g-tubes, NG/OG tubes, UAC/UVC management, PICC
lines, medication administration, and discharge to home -
Preferred: surgical NICU experience and familiarity with HIE
(Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy) - Strong communication skills,
positive attitude, and family-centered care approach - Previous
travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers will be
considered Responsibilities - Provide high-quality, evidence-based
nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates (as early as
22 weeks gestation) - Manage patients with conditions such as RDS,
NAS, sepsis, and high-risk deliveries - Perform advanced
respiratory support, ventilator management, and troubleshooting -
Care for patients with tracheostomies, enteral feeding tubes, PICC
lines, UAC/UVCs, and other neonatal lines - Develop and implement
individualized care plans and participate in multidisciplinary
rounds - Coordinate discharge planning and provide family education
for transition to home - Accurately document care using the EPIC
EMR system - Float to ER as a sitter if needed (rare) and
collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient
