accomplished Advanced Surgical Oncologist to join our dynamic
surgical team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an
experienced surgeon to shape the future of surgical oncology at our
well-established medical center. The Advanced Surgical Oncologist
will be an integral part of our surgical team in the Center for
Digestive Health at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. This role
seeks a dedicated surgeon focused on the comprehensive care of
patients with complex oncologic conditions. This role offers the
unique opportunity to leverage your expertise, collaborate with a
multidisciplinary team, and significantly contribute to program
development and resident education. Key Responsibilities: - Provide
advanced surgical care for patients with a broad spectrum of
oncologic diseases, including: - Hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB)
cancers - Gastric cancer - Sarcoma - Melanoma - Other complex
malignancies as appropriate - Actively participate in the education
and mentorship of general surgery residents, providing guidance and
hands-on experience in advanced oncologic surgical techniques. -
Collaborate effectively with medical oncologists, radiation
oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and other specialists to
ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care. -
Establish and nurture key partnerships within the medical community
and with referring providers to build a robust referral network.

$420,220 - $677,188 /year DOE HEC Job Requirements - 3 years of
clinical experience - Board Certification in General Surgery by the
American Board of Surgery. - Board Certification in complex general
surgical oncology by the American Board of Surgery. - Demonstrated
experience in a broad range of surgical oncology procedures. -
Proven experience and enthusiasm for resident education and
mentorship. - Strong interest and experience in program building
and developing key partnerships. - Excellent communication,
interpersonal, and leadership skills. - Commitment to
patient-centered care, ethical practice, and continuous
professional development. - Ability to obtain privileges at VMFH
hospitals - Ability to obtain a medical profession license in the
state of Washington - Ability to obtain a DEA license with full
prescriptive authority needed to practice - Must be a physician in
