Pay Information $2,508 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years in NICU License: Active RN License Certifications: NRP, BLS Must-Have: - EPIC experience required - Ability to care for gestational ages down to 32 weeks or greater than 1500 grams - Experience with NC, HFNC, CPAP, NAVA, conventional ventilation equipment, and feeding pumps - Ability to titrate drips, including BP drugs, TPN/D10, Insulin Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse with specialty experience in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The NICU is equipped with 20 beds, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity and staffing levels. Common patient diagnoses include extremely premature/premature patients, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, feeding intolerance, respiratory support, sepsis/meningitis, neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome, and hyperbilirubinemia. Registered Nurses will work with a neonatologist available on-site 24/7, along with advanced practice providers. The role may require floating to pediatrics to care for NICU graduates, or to provide one-on-one support for behavioral health patients. The unit has monitoring systems in place, and Registered Nurses are responsible for reading strips. Weekend shift availability is essential, and there may be a possibility of holiday shifts based on scheduling needs.
