Job Title: CVOR RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: WA or Compact RN license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and CNOR preferred Must-Have: Scrub experience required Description: CVOR RN needed with scrub experience. Start date is ASAP. Shifts are 3x12 hours from 06:30 to 19:00. Patient ratios are 1:1. First-timers are accepted. Weekend availability is required. On-call is required. The standard cardiac call is 1 weekday call (Monday to Thursday) per week, plus 1 weekend per month. Floating to the general OR may be required. An accommodating block schedule may be possible on a case-by-case basis. Travelers must be more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify. No pending licenses will be accepted. Limit to 2 requests for time off. Unit involves procedures such as CABG, AVR, AAA, MVR, Carotid Cutdown, VATS, RATS, Mediastinoscopy, Pericardial Windows, Tamponade, and minimally invasive cardiac procedures. Scrubs will be provided for the OR. Charting will be done through a specified platform. Orientation will consist of 40 hours. All travelers are expected to float between various like units within their skill set. Travelers regularly float within the hospital or to a nearby sister hospital. Travelers should be prepared for the responsibilities required. Communication devices will be provided when necessary for performing duties. Travelers should check on additional training requirements prior to start.
