Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/21/2025 Duration: 16 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Posted By- T4H-643 Cancellation Policy- 1 shift per 2 week period Unit- Labor & Delivery Care Setting- Acute Shift Length- 12 Guaranteed Hours- 48 hours per week Years of Experience- 3 Years License to Submit- Yes Required Certifications- ACLS, BLS, NRP Shift Notes- 4x12s Trauma Level- 3 Charting System- Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR CLIENT WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY TRAVELERS WITH LICENSE HITS DEALING WITH DIVERTING MEDS OR ENDANGERMENT 5 Years of experience and/or Triage Experience required for 48 hour GTE. of L&D Beds 11 of OR Suites 2 of triage beds 4 of Postpartum beds 25 of births per day, per year 220 per month Do ratios follow AWHONN guidelines? That is our goal Required Certifications NRP, BLS, ACLS-beginning Jan 2023 Common diagnoses/Types of patients Active labor, post partum, gestational hypertension, GDM Experience or 'Must have' skills Circulate in the OR Are RNs required to titrate drips? yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Both Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? 2 surgical techs 24 hours a day, LPN (2 on days 1 on nights) OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? Yes to both, 24 hour anesthesia in house as well RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) No Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? no EFM System Obix Shifts & Scheduling 12 hour shifts, 7-7:30 Weekend Requirement yes Holiday Requirement Is there a call or standby requirement? Not for travel RN’s Floating Requirements Float required to postpartum as needed Scrub Color/Dress code Navy blue. There are jackets and scrubs that are provided by the hospital for L&D Nurses.
