This drives our passion for providing evidenced-based outpatient and inpatient psychiatric treatment programs with successful outcomes.For more information, please visit us at POSITION SUMMARYThe admissions nurse handles hospital admissions for the Kirkland Campus. The admissions nurse utilizes strong customer service and assessment skills in order to ensure a smooth and safe admission process. Fairfax admits new patients 24/7. The ability to manage your own work load independently while also maintaining the flexibility to step in to help the team when needed is key in the I & A department. Responsible for completing the actual admission/registration process required for the patient's admission to the hospital. Complete all required nursing admission paperwork and physical assessments of patients. Preform other duties assigned. Admission nurse will facilitate initial nursing process on the unit floor. The admissions nurse works under the direction of the Assistant Director of Intake and the Director of Assessment & Referral. Shift requirement : Must work every other weekend Wage Range:Minimum: $38.00/hourMaximum: $53.69/hour COVID-19 Vaccination requirement: After October 18, 2021 all Washington state healthcare employees, educators, contractors, and interns will be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination record as a condition of employment. You must submit your documentation to Human Resources before your first day of employment with Fairfax. Please remember to bring your COVID-19 immunization card to your orientation with our HR team.
Qualifications

Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience as a registered nurse in a psychiatric health care facility preferred. Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing. Currently licensed to drive with a valid driver's license.Additional Requirements: CPR, 1st Aid, Handle With Care (HWC) and Verbal De-Escalation certification upon hire. BENEFITS:

        • Holiday hours are included in the PTO accruals
