Responsibilities
Fairfax Behavioral Health is in need of a Per Diem position with
flexible schedule. Dietitian to work at Fairfax Behavioral Health
hospital in Kirkland, Washington. POSITION SUMMARYThe Dietitian
plans modified diets as requested by the attending
physician/licensed practitioner, provides nutritional assessments
for patients as needed, and counsels patients and their families on
dietary plans, food selections, preparation and nutritional
principles. Monitors the performance improvement plans of the
Dietary Services department and provides input in the development
and implementation of patient care plans in relation to nutritional
needs Wage Range:Minimum: $34.00/hourMaximum: $44.86/hour
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE * Education: Requires a minimum of
Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition or dietetics from an
accredited college or university. * Experience: Requires a minimum
of one (1) year post internship work experience in clinical
nutrition in a health care facility with concentration in
nutritional assessment and counseling. * Credentials: Registration
with the Commission on Dietetics and dietitian certification with
the State of Washington. REQUIRED PROOF OF COVID-19
VACCINATIONAbility to demonstrate proof of full vaccination against
COVID-19 by October 18, 2021 or date of hire if after October 18,
2021. Reasonable accommodations maybe considered. PREFERRED
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE* Master's degree in clinical nutrition or
dietetics.* Prior experience with eating disorders, mood disorders,
anxiety disorders and other behavioral conditions preferred.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Provide direct nutritional care for
in-patient, PHP and IOP patients including, but notlimited to,
nutritional assessments, care planning, and monitoring as needed.2.
Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary team.3. Review
patient's medical record to determine their nutritional needs,
assess their current dietary patterns, and ensure that dietary
consults are completed within 72hours of providers orders.4.
Collaborate with the patient to develop an individualized eating
plan to assist in achievement of personal health goals.5. Conduct
nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy to adolescents
and adults struggling with food and body image issues, diabetes,
obesity and other nutritional concerns.6. Consult with patients and
their family members concerning dietary needs and goals.7. Plan
modified diets for patients as requested by attending
physician/licensed practitioner.8. Communicate patient's special
nutritional needs to the Food Service Supervisor in a timely
manner9. Monitor and document patients care in regard to
therapeutic diets, and update their medical record as changes in
nutritional needs occur.10. Contribute to overall department
planning of dietary services.11. May inspect meal assembly to
ensure trays conform to prescribed diet and meet standards.12.
Adhere to facility, department, corporate, personnel and standard
policies and procedures.13. Adhere to facility standards concerning
conduct, dress, attendance and punctuality.14. Support
facility-wide quality/performance improvement goals and
objectives.15. Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and
patient information.16. Ensure Dietary Department provides quality
food service to patients in accordance to JCAHO standards.

accurate reading of patient charts.2. Ability to stand and walk up
to six hours and sit up to two hours.3. Ability to frequently lift
or carry up to 10 lbs. and occasionally life and carry up to 50
lbs.4. Ability to frequently reach above, at or below shoulder
