Job Summary:

• Provides services necessary for the promotion, screening, treatment and referral for pregnant and postpartum women experiencing perinatal mental health mood and anxiety disorders. This includes assessment, diagnosis and management of perinatal mental health problems, including medication prescribing and management. The Psychiatric ARNP maintains a collaborative, consultative, and interdisciplinary role on the team caring for the patient and her family.Job Features:

    • Works collaboratively with the patient and PMAD colleagues to provide a comprehensive mental health exam and initiation of services and a plan of care for patients who screen positively for PMADs or are referred by their providers.
    • Determines a diagnosis and plan of care for intervention.
    • Initiates referral to qualified counselor and provides services for the patient (therapy, medication management or referral to a support group) until patient is able to access therapy in the community.
    • Maintains a patient oriented approach to meeting patient needs in a timely manner, involving the patients defined significant others in the plan as appropriate.
