Social Worker- School Based Wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact in kids' lives by joining our Community Healthcare Access team as a school based Social Worker. Our school program Social Worker provides crisis intervention and mental health services to high school students, between the ages of 13-18 in the Lake Washington School District. This Social Worker helps students cope with personal and psychological issues that affect their school performance, behavior and socialization - this includes providing support and services in addressing social, environmental, psychological, financial and cultural factors related to the student. Assists students in accessing appropriate community resources for additional services. Provides consultation and education to school personnel, parents and families as indicated. Serves as a resource and assists in developing an integrated approach within the school system to provide a safe, supportive and positive school climate among all students. Our Social Worker's schedule will closely mirror that of the school day and year, including having breaks and summers off. Perform other duties as assigned.License, Certification, Education or Experience:REQUIRED for the position: Master's degree in mental health (social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy). Credentialed (current Washington State licensure): LICSW, LASW, LSWAIC, LSWAA, LMHC, LMHCA, LMFT, LMFTA, or equivalent. Two (2) years of social work experience in a community or school setting. Age-specific or behavior-specific knowledge and experience in working with specific clients populations (i.e. children, adolescents, those with emotional/behavioral dysfunction) relevant to area of assignment. Excellent verbal and written language skills, effective communicator, ensure and provide for client needs and to provide a legal record of this care. Accountability for professional practice, commitment to patient care, and commitment to uphold the Patient Bill of Rights. Current Washington State Driver's license and proof of insurability. Map reading skills and ability and comfort driving in varied situations and inclement weather.DESIRED for the position: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
