Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) are seeking Senior Project
Engineers (Internally known as Program Integration Manager, PIM) to
join our team and make an immediate impact on urgent and long-term
development, production and fleet support issues within the Puget
Sound region of Washington. You will be able to combine the deep
expertise and resources of the entire Boeing enterprise with the
flexibility and fast pace of a small company setting. You will have
abundant opportunities to lead and collaborate with people from all
over the world to create and deliver innovative solutions to
complex technical problems while maintaining compliance with US and
Foreign regulations regarding aircraft development, production
(including delivery), maintenance, supplier engagement and flight
operations. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. -The
selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA.
(Subsequent assignments could be elsewhere in the Puget Sound).
Position Responsibilities:
- Be an integral part of supporting all BCA models in-service,
in-production and under development, including programs such as
747, 767, 777/777X, 787, and the next generation of commercial
airplanes
- Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate, coordinate, implement
and ensure engineering design and retrofit changes meet operational
and functional requirements in support of customer expectations and
overall program objectives
- Lead cross-functional technical integration and project
management in support of resolving complex issues to help deliver
airplanes, return airplanes into service, resolve supply chain
issues, mitigate risks, actualize opportunities, delivery and
production stream sustainability
- Lead detailed investigations to ensure system integration,
compliance with requirements and to preclude safety issues
- Lead and integrate the enhancement of business and enterprise
tools and/or processes to enable efficient performance of
engineering tasks
- Communicate routinely with Internal and External Customers
(peers, stakeholders, senior and executive leadership), Regulators
and/or suppliers. Work Authorization:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 15+ years' experience performing complex engineering or
integration work
- 10+ years' experience in leading and/or managing complex
projects Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- ABET accredited bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering,
Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years of experience with Transport, Boeing 7-Series and/or
McDonnell Douglas Aircraft is preferred
- 7+ years of experience with US and/or foreign aircraft
certification/regulatory processes is preferred
- Commercial aircraft design and/or analysis experience within
Airframe, Flight Sciences, Interiors, Propulsion, or Systems
Experience with certification, working with FAA regulations, and
Regulatory Administration
- Experience with commercial or military aircraft maintenance is
preferred
- Project Management exposure / experience (e.g., Project
Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI/PMI 99-001-2008) is
preferred
- Ability to quickly analyze, understand, organize and
communicate complex technical concepts/problems across multiple
disciplines
- Experience with leading major design changes through multiple
phases of product and certification lifecycle
- Ability to work out of comfort zone, where process definition
does not exist or is unclear. Take ownership/initiative, pull teams
together, establish battle rhythm, and remove roadblocks Typical
Education/Experience: -
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced
technical education from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
(e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12
years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is
the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
