Job Description

What you get to do in this role:

In this role, you will report directly to the Director of the Cloud Hardware teamand drive the resolution of problems impacting the Cloud hardware infrastructure. The key partner teams are Cloud Hardware Reliability, Hardware Support Services, Capacity Management, Data Center Operations, Hardware Standards and Engineering, Legal, Finance, and more.Essentially the Cloud Hardware realm impacts, and is impacted by, multiple organizations across the company. In addition to internal teams, this person will also be called on to work with external vendors as necessary to facilitate hardware/software fixes to remediate issues.

  • This is a senior role, and the expectations are to own and drive tracking, management, communication, and resolution to the highest impacting problems being faced by the Cloud Hardware team.
  • Innovation in creating efficient best practices in this realm is required.


    To be successful in this role you have:
    • A minimum of 5 years managing programs designing, building or deploying enterprise-class hardware
    • Build strong, trusting relationships with development teams, product management, stakeholders, and cross-functional development groups
    • Proven ability to lead through influence
    • Ability to work effectively in both strategic and tactical spaces
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent organizational skills to be able to coordinate complicated efforts and environments
    • High emotional intelligence to effectively manage a diverse team working in different environments
    • Exceptional team building and team management skills, including interpersonal skills, conflict resolution and negotiation
    • Demonstrated competence in key program management best practices: program planning, schedule construction and management; risk assessment & mitigation, change management and predictive metrics
    • Encourage, support, and guide continuous improvement of the team, its products, and processes.
    • An orientation for execution with a strong process and metrics focus
    • Clearly communicate changes/requests to the team and status/compromises to stakeholders
    • Previous experience andEngineering or a Technical Project/Program Manager role preferred
