computer vision, machine learning, distributed systems and hardware
design. As an experienced Hardware Design Engineer within our team,
you will engage with a skilled and accomplished cross-disciplinary
staff to conceive and design innovative technologies. You will
collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive key
aspects of technology solution definition, execution and
validation. Full cycle product development experience from
inception through maturity is important. Working simultaneously on
projects in different phases is common; you are able to demonstrate
strong design and validation skills in addition to the
understanding of mechanics of ongoing operational excellence and
product support. You are responsive, flexible, and able to succeed
within an open collaborative peer environment. Key job
responsibilities - Contribute to system and component requirements.
- Collaborate with Sr. and Principal Electrical Engineers on system
architecture and approaches. - Create schematics and pcb layouts in
Altium. - Review schematics and pcb layouts of peers and
contractors. - Create documentation for production. - Collaborate
with contract manufacturers to optimize designs for
manufacturability, testability, and reliability. - Bringup and
debug hardware. - Write and execute Design Validation Test plans. -
Contribute to Manufacturing Test, Compliance, and Reliability

the team The team is a group of electrical, mechanical, embedded
firmware, manufacturing, and manufacturing engineers who devise
hardware that enables Just Walk Out and RFID shopping experiences -
4 years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent
experience - Experience with prototyping and implementation -
Experience in developing functional specifications, design
verification plans and functional test procedures - Knowledge of
SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools -
Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and

the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base
pay for this position ranges from $105,600/year in our lowest
geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic
market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market
location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills,
and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent
on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms
of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation
