Overview:

This is a 40+ hour week position. The individual will be filling the role of design and quality control review of MDU projects. OSP engineer for Desktop work taking field notes and developing an engineering design


Qualifications:

- 2-5 years of OSP Engineering and field experience in buried, UG and Aerial.
-Copper and Fiber experience is a must
- Experience designing and engineering MDUs
- Working knowledge of UG OSP Plant (Manholes, Handholes, etc..)
- Be able to read standardized engineering work prints
-Working GIS/CAD platform FROGs experience is a must
-CAS Coding experience (accounting codes to break out the job for finance)
-Past GTE/VERIZON/FRONTIER Network Engineer preferred
-Data management experience, with excel and/or Smartsheet
-Planning experience
-Must have design engineering experience
-Working knowledge of aerial & underground OSP plant (manholes, handhole, etc.)
-Working knowledge of FTTx
-Experience performing quality control reviews.
-Ability to identify existing telephone plant, electric, and other utilities on the site plans as well as in the field
-Ability to indicate existing telephone plant location and relocate facilities
-Knowledge of obtaining right of ways and easements where required
-Must be capable of engineering routine and specific OSP work orders
-Must have a functional knowledge of OSP principles, work order procedures, telephone industry standards, PC applications, and OSP record and/or computer aided drafting systems
