Rotational Night Shift: 6:00 pm - 6:30 am Pay Range starts at
$26.50 - $36.50 per hour plus $1.50 per hour shift differential for
Night Shift DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES The Extrusion Maintenance
Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and
repair of all extrusion equipment and related machinery in a window
vinyl extrusion plant. This role ensures that equipment operates
efficiently with minimal downtime, contributing to the plant's
production goals. The technician will also perform preventive
maintenance and assist in continuous improvement projects to
enhance equipment reliability and performance. 1. Equipment
Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular preventive maintenance on
extrusion equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing
downtime Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical,
pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on extrusion lines and associated
equipment Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools,
power tools, and precision measuring instruments Respond to
technical issues affecting production and maintain electrical and
mechanical services through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PM)
2. Operational Support: Assist in the setup and calibration of
extrusion machinery to meet production specifications Monitor
equipment during production runs to identify and address any
operational issues promptly Collaborate with production staff to
ensure seamless operation and minimal disruption during maintenance
activities Assist with the moving, installation, and repositioning
of machines and equipment Train and mentor apprentices and less
experienced technicians Operate man lift, fork, and other lifting
equipment 3. Continuous Improvement: Participate in root cause
analysis to identify recurring issues and implement long-term
solutions Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance
equipment reliability and efficiency Stay current with industry
best practices and emerging technologies to drive continuous
improvement initiatives Assist in the development of planned
preventative maintenance (PM) schedules Carry out PM schedules as
necessary and planned work orders as required and provide feedback
to develop the system Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety
protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and
regulatory requirements Conduct regular safety inspections and
participate in safety training programs Identify and escalate any
activity that has the potential to cause harm or damage Promote
environmental issues and ensure all company procedures are
understood and followed Work within the 5S (Sort, Set in Order,
Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain the workplace
to a high standard Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate
records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts
used, and equipment performance data Provide detailed reports on
equipment status, maintenance needs, and completed repairs Report
breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management
Identify spare requirements and log usage Estimate the length of
time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure
to complete work within required timescales Quality Assurance:
Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and
adheres to all quality standard regulations Ensure company targets
are met in respect of quality Qualifications High school diploma or
equivalent; technical or vocational training in industrial
maintenance or a related field preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of
experience in maintenance roles within a manufacturing environment,
preferably in extrusion operations Proficiency in diagnosing and
repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and
schematics Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
and other automation systems is a plus Additional Information Site

for this full-time position is $26.50 - $36.50 per hour $1.50 per
hour shift differential for Night Shift medical, dental, vision

determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is
determined by work location and additional factors, including
job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
