hardworking, enthusiastic, and capable Product Manager to drive the
future of search across Splunk deployments and third party cloud
data stores. You would initially be responsible for Splunk's
distributed search processing across multiple Splunk deployments
and Cloud data stores, which is an integral part of our core value
to customers. In this role, you will define the critical features
and roadmap for bringing high-scale, high-performance search to
Splunk customers and app developers.You will use your understanding
of the data platforms, analytics, and big data ecosystems to
synthesize ideas that improve Splunk's data platform offering. Your
cross-team collaboration skills will enable those improvements to
be conceptualized and delivered to drive meaningful and impactful
business outcomes.You will work in the Data Platform area at
Splunk, so a real appreciation for the needs of developers is
vital, and a work history that includes some time in engineering
roles is likely a plus.You will merge attention to technical detail
with an ability to understand and align to business imperatives
while working hand-in-glove with cross-functional execution teams
to drive customer insights and inputs directly into the development
process. Ideally, you have some experience running customer
advisory boards.ResponsibilitiesAs with any fast-growing company,
day-to-day responsibilities will span the entire product delivery
pipeline and include deep interaction with customers, sales, and
engineering.Own the whole product experience for your area.Engage
with customers, develop insights into what is possible, and uncover
unarticulated needs to ensure customer success.Build product
roadmaps based on customers' needs, including market and technology
forces.Define product specifications, user stories, mockups, and
acceptance criteria independently and in collaboration with
engineering.Interact and collaborate with Support, NOC, and field
teams to understand customer issues and drive business
outcomes.Collaborate with Engineering, QA, SRE, and release teams
to plan, drive and execute product release cycles.Collaborate with
product marketing to support the creation of
content.Requirements3-5 years of proven success in product
management.Experience as a Product Manager in building core
platform technology for unstructured, structured, and
semi-structured data processing and searchFamiliarity with cloud
services, batch/stream data processing, distributed search, data
storage formats, high availability, scalability, and
performance.Strong sense of product ownership & customer empathy to
care deeply about customer problems and the user
experience.Analytical thinking skills and a data-informed approach
to decision-making.Collaborative, with strong communication skills,
including the ability to translate sophisticated technical products
and features into simple concepts and
presentations.DesiredSkills:Experience building data platform
products with a focus on search processing, cloud storage, high
availability, performance, and scalability.Strong bias for action,
creative thinking, innovation, and data-informed product
decision-making.Operate and think in terms of the business outcome,
end-user experience, the underlying technology stack to drive those
experiences and outcomesExposure to cloud infrastructure and agile
software developmentPassion for understanding end-to-end business
workflows and building enterprise products with intuitive user
experience.Education:Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g.

Range: $159,200.00 - 218,900.00 per yearCalifornia (excludes SF Bay

and MassachusettsBase Pay Range: $143,280.00 - 197,010.00 per
yearAll other cities and states excluding California, Washington,
Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro
Area.Base Pay Range: $127,360.00 - 175,120.00 per yearSplunk
provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most
roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a
market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note
that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who
receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as
work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills
and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role
is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for
